My list for the 2

Recommended Posts

It is a bit of an odd exercise, but I like lists and here is the list of non-original fitments on my TR-2. I am sure I may have missed some things, but I am not including Lucas smoke because I have it all captured :).

Body: Paint, bumpers, beading, tenax, escutcheons, floor pans, stone guards, jack hole cover, fasteners, piping, muffler, exhaust pipe, exhaust brackets, pedal pads, hose and pipe clamps, rubber gaiters, wiper blades, windshield top rubber.

Electrical: Coil, solenoid, flasher, starter (using high torque, kept original), battery, connectors, bulbs, most knobs, distributor wires, spark plugs, front wiring harness, points, condenser, vacuum advance pipe (kept broken original).

Mechanical: Fluids, oil filter/housing (using spin on, kept original), shift lever (kept original) leaf springs (kept original), wheels, tires, bearings, bushes, hoses, brake pads, clutch disc, rubber, fuel tap, springs, shocks, wheel cylinders, radiator core, engine block (kept cracked original), pistons, liners, gaskets, seals, transmission synchro rings, 1st/2nd gear.

Interior: Leather, vinyl, top, tonneau, sidecurtains (one original kept), carpet, door pulls, bottom door seal, fasteners.

It sure sounds like alot but I am pretty happy that I have as much original items as I do! The key upgrades are high torque starter, spin-on filter, and recored radiator with no hole.
