fox889
Backed the '6' into the garage yesterday & there was a slight hiss from the fuel filler, when I opened the cap there wasn't a rush of air just a very small 'hiss'.........normal or what? Where does the vent go when it leaves the top of the tank please. Cheers Nick.
Rien
Hi Nick, What ttype car do you have, the PI must have a vented cap. Regards, Rien
Ragtag
What ttype car do you have, the PI must have a vented cap. Surely all cars must have a vent to allow the used fuel to be replaced by air, regardless of whether PI or Carbs. The vent doesn't have to be in the cap, however. Mine is in the neck and the cap is solid. I seem to recall that this arrangement might be the USA spec. Nevertheless, if I had a hiss from the cap, I would be checking the vent wherever it is.
