Guest kev
I am about to change the carb needles on my standard twin SU carbs. Can anybody tell me the easiest way to achieve this and wether it possible to do it with removing the complete carb assembly. ( Changed the rubber carb mounts the other week and not looking forward to those 2 fiddly nuts underneath) Any tips would be welcome as i've found with most Tr jobs the easy way is only obvious the second time. thanks kev
Guest ron
Hi Kev Easy Remove the dashpot by taking out the 3 screws, remove the damper, spring and needle assembly, there is a screw on the side of the damper that releases the needle holder. Fit the new needle into the holder, making sure the shoulder is flush, fit it back into the damper, replace the damper, spring and dashpot and finally top up the dashpot oil. You will possibly need to check the mixture after doing it. Ron
