simon iregbu
I started to dismantle mt gearbox on Sunday and ran into a few problems: Firstly could not remove the drive flange as it seemed to be stuck to the output shaft. This was resolved yesterday when I purcahsed a 3legged puller to remove it. The second problem I have is that the speedo drive is taking the stance on 'I have been extremely happy where I was deigned to be so why should I move now '. I have managed to partially separate the extension from the main body but it will not come completeley apart. I believe that this is down to the speedo drive still being present (yes I have removed the bolt that holds this in place). Are there any suggestions as to how to remove the speedo drive. I have tried a set of mole grips on the threaded end but there is not enugh material to get a good grip. I am not bother about the drive as i have a spare. tim_trinda
Have you had a look on the Buckeye Triumph website? There is quite a good section on gearbox disassembly and overhaul, click here for the link. ========== Tim
