TomMull
Many (40+) years ago one of my “mentors” taught me how to roll back speedometers. Even though I never really used that lucrative “skill” (honest), it did give me the incentive to tear into my collection of Jaeger instruments. It seems that every time I buy a part lot, it comes with a bunch of non-working gauges, usually with common problems. While I know the solution to this is to just send them off to the pros, I tend to think that with a few spares (e.g. trip set knob) many of these old instruments could be repaired (some can be fixed without parts, of course). I’ve drawn a blank with sources for these spares. It would seem that the spares are available since the pros are busy, although I had one rebuilder tell me that they were operating with a large supply of NOS, which of course, they would not sell. Can anyone suggest sources or have thoughts on this? Thanks in advance. Tom
