mhendy
Hello, I am completely new to this board having just picked up a 4a in boston in the US. Here are some of the relevant numbers from the car - the owner claims that it has the original engine etc. Can this be vefiried from these numbers? It is LHD and seems to be original in most respects. Engine CT6ZZ26 Body Serial number 64408 CT Commission Number CTC64340 Thanks in advance for your help and for pointing me at any useful web resources. Cheers, Mike
joebaker
Hi mike, It might be worth filling this out. It will give you all the information of the car as it left the factory http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/shop/heritage-certificate/index.html Joe

Engine number, body number and commission number were exactly never the same, just approximately the same. (your engine number is likely to be CT62226). A Heritage trace can tell you more of the original specification, particularly extras, paint and trim colour, all presented on an official Certificate. http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/shop/heritage-certificate/index.html AlanR Edited August 4, 2010 by TR 2100
