Lord Flashart
Hi all. My Tr has the light switch fitted to the steering column not on the dash as with other TRs that I've seen. Is this original or has someone fitted later parts to the car. It's a 62 TR4. Cheers Paul

First it's the voltage regulator/stabiliser, then it's the front suspension top wishbones, now it's the steering column! '62 4s didn't have the lighting switch on the column - it was on the dash. Someone has fitted the 4A style switch to your 4. (I think the revised arrangement came in with the 4A - I'm sure someone will correct me if it was introduced for late 4s). Lord Flashart
Cheers Alan, Out it comes then! Sorry for the multitude of questions. I've had the car in boxes for a few months now and put the engine and gearbox back in last week, front suspension a night later, now the dash and wiring will go back in today. Then all that is left is the interior, engine ancillaries and exhaust. Then hopefully I can drive it before the end of the summer. Paul
TR 2100
Hi Paul, Hope you got your suspension arms the right way round - no comment on my last post on that thread. Dashboard - lots of things to look out for - I'll just mention that the crash pads need to go on first. You won't get them on afterwards as they are wedged between the dash and the body. Lord Flashart
Alan, The suspension arms were fitted correctly! I have the dash pads already fitted to the metal dash ready to go in. There is a long way to go yet, but hopefully I'll be driving it soon. Cheers for the help. I'm sure I'll have more questions,I've never seen a TR4 assembled!!
