jemgee
I aquired a S/H adaptor but without the vital bit - the through bolt! Can anyone advise size and type or even offer me one for which suitable payment will be made!
Richard Crawley
jemgee, My BL manual says it's 7/16" UNC with a torque setting of 20 lbf/ft. Sorry I don't have one but it shouldn't be too difficult to get from one of the fixing suppliers. You might also check in you local Yellow Pages, I had been getting all my fixings mail order for years & then I discovered a small industrial fixing trade counter stocking a comprehensive range of metric & imperial fixings on a local industrial site only 5 mins. drive from me, he’s cheaper to! Richard Crawley
jemgee, an afterthought; is you S/H adaptor the later type with a spring loaded centre section? This mod was introduced to overcome problems with oil leaks due to different depths of block ‘O’ ring groove.
jemgee
Richard Thanks for the info - its an early type so I will have to trust to luck that the block is a good fit.
