marvmul
A year ago I fitted a Salisbury LSD to my TR3 : when new it was impossible to turn one wheel by hand with the other wheel resting on the ground. Now there is little resistance to turn a wheel. How can the locking action been restored : do I need shims or plates to adjust? Does anyone know of a webside where things are explained? Tr4Tony
As I understand it you can check the setting of the diff by jacking up a wheel and putting a torque wrench on the hub nut - in gear. Turn it and youll find out what pressure the diff is set at. My TR4 was set at 45 lb sq inch when fitted. Usually as they bed in they drop to about 20 ish. To reset you need to take te axle out and reshim the diff. Check with someone like Steve Hall at TREnterprises - he knows the right way to do it. Regards Tony
