Structure Within a Side Curtain

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys, c'est moi aussi.

All of the work done on restoring my B was done 12 years ago. That work included an overhaul of the side curtains. They really do look good.

My problem: they don't fit the car. If you can believe it, NEITHER of the two previous owners ever put them on the car! My main problem: the space between the curtain and bars that fit into the door brackets NEEDS TO BE WIDENED so that they can fit over the top of the doors.

My question: CAN I PUT THE CURTAIN DOWN ON THE FLOOR, PUT MY KNEE AGAINST IT AND PULL UP ON THE BAR, OR WILL I TEAR UP THE INSIDE OF THE CURTAIN? There HAS to be a way to adjust these side curtains, so that the space between the curtain and the bar can be increased or decreased.

I have always been a fan of the side curtain. Some folks don't like them, and drive around in freezing weather with them off, and bundled up. I am too old for that; I would rather have them on, and functioning properly.

What say you?
