Harewood Speed Hillclimb

Recommended Posts

With just six of the 125 entries Triumphs you might think, “Well why bother?” But then you’ll be missing the 20 or so Ferraris, the 3 Radicals, the plethora of Westfields and single seat OMSs and the odd Mini, Cinqucento and Frogeye plus a few Porkers and the odd Evo and Scoobies.

Yes taking part is more fun than watching, but if you’re going to watch a hillclimb then there’s no better venue than Harewood Hill.

So come along and support Ian Prout (TR3A), David Hardcastle (TR7), Stewart Scott (TR4), Kev Bryant (TR3A), Ian Horsfall (GT6) and Simon Allaby (TR7).

The competitors all get passes for their family / crew / supporters. If a TR Register member wants free entry I'm sure we can sort that and leave tickets on the gate. Call me on 07739 519748.

Had a great day at harewood as ever. Made the journey up from Peterborough and arrived just in time to see the last of the practice runs before the timed runs began after a pie break.

The ferrari's are always great to watch but one in particular made the spectators cringe as he barrelled into the barrier in on the first corner! Looked expensive....

Movies to follow.

Did you capture Ian rallying (again!) in the primrose yellow TR3A? 1st timed run of the day, going right around the 1st corner he suffered oversteer, over correcting by 180 and onto the grass, over correcting again by another 180 all on the grass, kept his right foot in and with a few more wobbles made it onto the black stuff. Got to the end 20 seconds or so off the pace.

How we laughed!

regards kev
