Schaarup
Hi Guys Springtime is on the way in Denmark where I live ....and Springtime means TR time I have finally sorted out the igintion and oil-pressure, but im having some trouble with cylinder head..... at least that's where I think the troubel is .. For some time i have noticed some "mayonaise" in the Oli fillercap and if i take the cap off while the engine is running there is a some steam comning from valve cover ........!!! The car do not seem to use a lot off water, but there i no pressure built up where i remove the radiator cap .....! The engine runs ok allthough it runs a bit rough on the tick over. I have read some of the other posts regarding head gaskets og cylinder heads ..... and from what i have read it is probaly a busted gasket or a cracked head ... Am I way off target here ..??? How do I identify which type of cylinderhead ( high or low port) i have on my TR4...?!? Please excuse my english.... Regards Peter
Steve R
Peter You can dowload the TR2-4 Restoration pdf from moss http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/TR253-67.aspx Lots of useful Info and will tell you what type of head you have. I had a head gasket fail last year and it also seemed to run alright, only very hot. Regards Steve Edited March 19, 2009 by Steve R
