We all remember the TR7V8 works rally cars, first homologated in April 1978. However, there were also at least a handful of V8 engined TR7 and/or TR8 cars prepared for circuit racing prior to the 1980 season, in the UK and in the USA. These were private entries, not 'works' cars of course. What I'm looking for is any detail of race entries and/or results for V8s in 1978 or 79 . . . any clues greatly appreciated !
