TONYL
Hi Do we know what the correct ride hieght of the 1972 tr6 is? Mine looks a bit on the high side although level. What is the best way to lower and by how much? I have a standard car - wheels etc. Thanks in advance Tony
88V8
The standard height to the top of the windscreen is 46" unladen. Underside of wheelarch at the rear 27", front 26.75", with 165/80 x 15 tyres at standard pressure. This of course will also depend on fuel load. If you have low-profile tyres with standard springs, it can make the wheelarch gap look rather large. As regards lowering, there is an interdependence of height with camber. What camber do you have front & rear? There is also an interdependence with grounding the exhaust or not If you do a Search in the TR6 forum using the button at the top right of the screen, with strings such as... height +arch.... or... suspension +height.... or.... lowering +suspension... you will find a profusion of threads, also rather a lot on .... camber...
