I HAVE DISCONNECTED AT DASHBOARD END AND PULLED THE CENTRE CABLE,AND FOUND TO BE BROKEN. TO GAIN THE CONTROL END,CARPET REMOVED AND FOUND COVER PLATE ON GEARBOX COVER,COVER REMOVED AND THEN DISCONNECTED OLD CABLE WHICH WAS BOKEN. LOOKING AT THE MOSS CAT PAGE 159 THE SHOW A ANGLE DRIVE ADAPTOR. THERE IS NOT ONE FITTED TO THE GEARBOX AND CABLE HAS SHARP BENDS,SO CAN SOME ONE ADVISE,WOULD THIS BE A CAUSE OF PROBLEM,AND A NEW INSTALL BE PRUDENT MANY THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE. IAN BELL. Worth asking about for a good s/h angle drive as they are pretty pricey. They are the same as the ones used on most Borg Warner automatic gearboxes!! at least the model 35 and 65's are I know for sure! If money is not an issue,then get a new one and a complete new cable,as the old outer cable may have wear on the inside from the tight bends its been subject to! Richard Crawley Posted August 31, 2008 Report Share Posted August 31, 2008 The quality of some of the repro angle drives & the inner cables leave a lot to be desired & many (including myself) have had problems getting them to work satisfactorily.
