Split Lip Rear Oil Seal Conversion

Looking at different options regarding my engine rebuild and wanted to know if anyone has experience, and/or opinions on whether this is a good option to go for.

I recently rebuilt a TR4 engine that had the split seal conversion already done to it. I wasn't impressed. It is rather difficult to determine if you have the seal centered on the crankshaft during assesmbly. Given the choice, I would go with the stock reverse scroll device. I have done plenty of the stock ones and they may drip a drop or two, but it is pretty fool proof. Good luck with your rebuild!
