john.r.davies Posted September 24, 2007 Report Share Posted September 24, 2007 Dave, I see a problem with those in that you must tighten the lock nut by forcing the ball joint to open and pop the ball out. There's no flat on the tube part of the ball joint, that accepts the turnbuckle rod - that I can see, at least. The equivalent part that Prestige sell has the flats. I modified two cheap spanners by turning the business ends to about 45 degrees to reach between the throttle bodies and grip the nut and tube part. John Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Think I'll "suck it and see" and If I get any problems I might file some flats onto them - stange that they didn't think of it. Then again, they are only 34 quid instead of prestige's 200 odd for a complete new kit. I guess you get what you pay for. Good idea on the spanners, by the way - I saw those on another post.
