LOP SIDED TR4A

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help with my lop sided car please. I have restored my 4A without taking the body off the chassis. All the front & rear suspension components apart from rear shockers have been replaced.

I have double checked the assembly and all seems correct. The car droops on the left side which is more apparent at the rear of car. Any ideas.

Thank you in anticipation

Hi Wiggy, and welcome to the Forum. Has the car been driven, can take a few feet back and forth before the rear suspension trailing arms (IRS) settle, the T/A bushes shouldn't be tightened fully until the suspension has settle into normal running position, if it ain't that - are you sure about that it's the body tightened down unevenly - door gaps, how much lop-sided - has it been bent? - is the rear suspension bridge sound.......................

Are you able to measure the spring heights from top to bottom? Would have been nice to compare them before they went in though.

Mine when I got it dragged its bum a bit, ie. front high, back low. Found it had the wrong rear springs. Previous owner had paid good money to have them put in too.

otherwise as Jonlar says sounds as though something might be bent.
