TR7V8 rebirth after 8yrs

Recommended Posts

Ive just joined the forum & thought i'd say hello.

I have a TR7V8 FHC which i bought in '89 and converted in '93 with tuned v8. Sadly its sat in a lock up for the last 8 yrs but before i put it in there i replaced the outer sills, both flitch panels on both sides, inner wheelarches, rear wheel arch lips & a whole lot of waxoyl. At the time i also purchased full carpet interior, mona lita wheel, discounted headlight mechanisms, some trim & 2 reskinned doors - I almost forgot i had all these until i moved house last year!

Its looking pretty sorry at present but i am thinking about resurrecting it this year. I know FHC's don't go for much but im hoping it wont cost too much & i intend keeping it (after all ive had it 18yrs already) - respray & body finishing is going to be biggest cost as it looks like one of the wings has gone in the rain channel again, the turret tops need replacing & the trailing link points may need some attention.

I'll keep you posted on what happens...........

On another note has anyone figured out a diy rear disc conversion???
