I noticed you have a spring return on the slave cylinder, this spring will pull the standard push rod
back to far in to the slave cylinder, then there will not be enough movement in the system to activate the
clutch,(without pumping ) I had the same problem after replacing the clutch master & slave cylinders,
remove spring & it will work otherwise fitt a ajustable rod to take up any slack. I don`t think they had
a spring as standard.

Hi
Could there be a problem with the flexible hose to the slave cylinder calapsing internaly
& causeing the fluid not to return back to the master cylinder hence the bearing may run
against the presure plate, this problem can sometimes cause brakes to bind on.
