I would seriously be interested in purchasing a complete set off you (both sides) if you could arrange this, I have Paypal.

Agree with Neil, my car has no leaks and yes, I drive it like I stole it. Pay attention to engine and gearbox breathing systems and all will be good.

Hi Ashley,
A tip I learned (and still practice), from the forums a few years back, is to use a cigarette paper as a feeler guage when setting the butterflies. This will give a 2 thou clearance and avoid the butterflies slamming shut on the ports. The small gap still allows the carbon to seal them in time.
I think it was the honourable Mr Alec Pringle who fed us this titbit and it works well.

Many years ago when I was an auto electrician we used to service and rebuild dynamos. The rear bush had to be immersed in oil for at least 24 hours prior to fitting. Maybe this isn't happening when they are built.

For the asking price it looks a real bargain. Obviously a lot of money has been spent on it... the history is irrelevant at these sort of prices, it's a TR6.

Hi Julian,
I believe your running on is caused by the Kenlow fan. This cropped up not too long back and was cured by fitting a diode in the supply to the fan. Someone will remember this topic and chime in shortly.

I'm finishing off fitting a new headliner (made it myself), in my factory hardtop. Should be fun putting the glass back...

As far as I'm aware Richard, pin stripes are not standard on a TR6.

TR5 Bonnet Safety Catch
in General TR Technical

Having seen Andrew's car close up, I have to agree with Stuart. It wouldn't take much for that bonnet to come through the windscreen without a safety catch....decapitation anyone?.
