  1. hi i put 56-1400 on my hs6 sus the came from an mg site i think it was the mg hive much cheaper than any one else i think £70.00 for a pairs also david manners mini spares had them for £80 ish regards gary

  2. Must admit I prefer Optimax/ V-power, but all the local Shell garages have stopped stocking it.

My "treat" to the car used to be a run over to Castleton to the old Service Station that stocked leaded 4-star. But they don't sell it anymore. So I'm stuck with BP or Tesco's Premium 99-Octane stuff.

The VSP additive seems to work well too.

    :P

  4. hi dudes anyone no approx weight of a 4 engine theres no fly wheel on or carbs etc and who can i use to ship it to ireland also what sort of cost do you think, can i lay it down on a pallet or is it best to keep it upright regards gary

  5. Gary,

You will need some new parts - which Moss do list as being available - Page 45, illustration part numbers 78, 79, 80, 81, 82 & 84 all of which will cost a grand total of £37.82.

Although from the website it looks like they are currently on some sort of discount sale...........!!!!!

You also need the connecting shaft between the carbs - illustration part number 63 (which for some reason Moss do not supply?) - however if your HS6 carbs have come off a TR this shaft will probably be in place already.

If it is missing I am pretty sure that Burlen Fuel Systems can supply something similar at not much cost.

From your current setup you can use you existing short vertical operating link rod as is.

Plus your existing horizontal operating link rod can also be used, after it has been shortened.

I hope this helps you on to the right track.

    Regards, Richard ;)
