  1. Steve,

I have run my 5 on webers for the past 5 years and 30k miles without issue, i would confirm that once they are set up by a professional who understands webers and there application with our engines there should not be any problems. As Stuart says it does require all other aspects of the fuel and ignition system to be good.EFI is a step too far(Neils point) in my book, we are dealing with an old sports car at the end of the day and own them because of the character and style that mod boxes just do not have,

    cheers,

    Laurence

  2. 195s are about as wide as you really want to go on a TR, imo, and then on a 6inch rim

With a 5.5 minilite i would have thought 185s would be max width, and no doubt the narrower tyre the easier the steering,at low speeds, will be,

    cheers,

    Laurence.

ps i seem to recall , on a 6 i owned in the 80s ,had 205s on standard 6 steel rims  , tramlined like a dog

  3. Simon,

The wheels and nuts came direct from Revolution, from memory the nuts were the same length as originals. Tyres are 195/65/15 Pirelli P6 cinturatos and have worked well with the wheels thus far(5k+miles),-the Revs are 6'' wide.

I believe other colours for the spokes, apart from gloss black, are available,

    cheers,

    Laurence

  4. From what i learnt on saturday its £75 per hour , not sure how many runs that would give you, it all looked ok on the demo,

but i didnt use it myself,

    cheers,

    Laurence,

ps i think you would also have to add the dreaded VAT to the above

  5. Front indicators and carrbs suggest an exUS car. The reg plate indicates a CP series car but the plastic scuttle vent and lack

of rear number plate light plinth point in a CR series direction..,

    cheers,

    Laurence

  6. Good point Roger, not sure most folk would be that keen to tackle a car fire of any description,-the fire extinguishers

i havelooked at seem to be on the small size and would not really be that much use on anything but the smallest of fires,

    cheers,

    Laurence

  7. Christine,

Sorry , i am not in the market for classic fire extinguishers but i would be interested where you,and others, locate

the fire extinguisher. In my case i dont have a roll cage, which would seem the obvious place, and understand carrying

in the boot isnt advisable, so where? , pics would be welcome,

    cheers,

    Laurence
