Thank you Niall.

Hi Brian
As Mike referenced above, the centre two vents were deleted when the scuttle vent was fitted, (this was circa 2000 cars after the internal bonnet release was deleted) so the dzus fasteners on a 4 vent bonnet are not unheard of.
I understand the centre vents were removed due to engine fumes entering the cockpit, this would be more noticeable when the hood or hardtop were fitted.

Apologies, I could post some witty comment about the above picture being upside down to replicate the Aeroscreen in New Zealand but that wasn't my intention, how can I rotate the image?
Kind regards

Hi
The DVLA chassis number indicates a 1967 build IRS RHD Overdrive car, the recorded engine number would suggest it's the original (less than 200 away from the chassis number) and the engine size is stated as 2498.
I have no interest in the vehicle or its sale, just using a motor trade look up service to provide the data.
hope this helps to clear up the question of import.
Kind regards
Andrew

Hi
I also run my '61 TR4 on Avon 590/15 crossply's, they are affected by white lines when wet but the overall "Experience" is pleasing.

Hi,
My understanding is post Brexit the search location being France would add VAT automatically to the UK price ensuring any purchaser is aware of the total cost, the same process is mirrored if an item in France is viewed in the UK.
Hope this helps

A quick Google search found this image with an auction description:
Professionally restored by TR BITZ of Warrington in the mid 90's at a cost in the region of £35. 00.
This ultra rare Home Market TR2 'Long Door' has had only 5 private owners from new. the 1st of whom kept her from June 1954 until May 1969! The 4th owner acquired her in 1974 and after a lengthy period off the road in the 80's and early 90's entrusted TR BITZ with a CONCOURS RESTORATION in 1995. He was to then keep her for a further 12 years before passing her to the 5th and final owner in 2007.
Fitted with a Mohair Hood. Deluxe Sidescreens. Overdrive and a Brand New set of Wire Wheels. this lovely example shows no signs of deterioration since the rebuild and is ready for its next custodian to enjoy for many years to come!.
The recorded mileage when she was 1st MOT'd in 1997 following the restoration was 32. 00. This total has now risen to some 47. 00.

Hi Graham
Couple of questions regarding the new concours venue:
: Whats the earliest time we can arrive on site ( is a Friday drop off an option?)
: is the secure overnight storage inside?
I assume the competition is inside a building.
kind regards

Saddened to hear the news Dave has passed away, I always enjoyed time catching up with Dave he was a mine of information that he would freely share whilst smoking his roll up.
Sincere condolenses to Margaret and the family.

This one shows the arrival @ London Airport, the staged car handover and the run out to the Bull Hotel @ Gerrards Cross.
Look out for the TR3 with rear wheel spats.

That's the correct number Chris, I thought it would be recognised from the TTT reference.
-
The car is recorded @ the DVLA (UK Gov vehicle Database) originally registered in the UK on the 5-7-1955, it also had a great registration number TTT***.
This may aid UK memories of the car?

Hi David, welcome to the forum.
it may be useful to advise your location (by town & county) with this posting, ( if they are local to me I’d certainly be interested).

Hi
I sourced mine from the Roadster Factory in the States, great rubber quality and more importantly they fitted my TR3 perfectly.
On TR2 & 3 they are fitted with the carpet under the wide lip, (The carpet has a hole in it obviously), on the TR3A & B the transmission carpet became a one piece item and covered the rubber bungs for both the Propshaft and Gearbox Dipstick.
Kind regards

Just a couple of questions about the registration. I’m confused why this is ACR 177K, though data suggests that it is an import ( but not from non EU countries I believe). So does that rule out a TR250 as am I correct in the assumption they were US market only?
Other information recorded is very sketchy and maybe not credible. This is the info which will ( or should) appear on that V5C. From how many nations within Europe would a RHD TR5 import come from?
First reg 29/09/71
9 Keepers
VIN CP995
Engine: CP707E
Year of manufacture: 1969
Shows as IMPORT
The Chassis and engine numbers both seem curtailed but do the prefixes stack up?
I note it’s supposed to come from St. Helier but why are the full engine/ chassis numbers not disclosed?
Kevin
Hi
Firstly, to avoid any confusion I have no personal interest in this car, just interested in the auction.
The heritage certificate that was added to the listing detailed the original destination as St Helier Jersey, prior to 1st of August 1983 any previously registered outside of the UK vehicle being registered in the UK for the first time was treated as a new vehicle to the UK and allocated with a new car registration number from the local office were the application was made, ACR was issued from the Southampton Licensing Office.
How do I know this? In 1981 for my sins, I purchased a 1977 Ford Capri registered in the UK in March 1980 on a V plate, this car was originally registered new on the Isle of Man.
Of more interest to me was the price achieved for lot 3, an unrestored very tatty, incomplete yellow 1958 TR3, £20,000.00 with premium and VAT that’s an invoice of £23,600.00.
Spitfire/GT6 inner wheel arch
in For Sale, Swap or Wanted, maximum value £250

HI Peter
I think that is the R/H inner Rear wheel arch, the two holes are for the captive seat belt nuts and the location indents in the middle of the item are for the rotoflex top shock absorber mount.
Hope this helps
Kind regards
