Hi Steve, glad you enjoyed it, I hope to get it out and about as much as I can, people seem to enjoy seeing and talking about it at the shows its been to, although most things seemed to have been cancelled for the time being so we will see what 2021 brings!. Dan

Cheers Paul, glad you liked it - my copy hasn't come through yet to see what it looks like.

I have new door rubbers from Moss, hinges don't have any noticeable clunk in them if lifting the doors . What specifically would I be looking at on the receiving pates? the passenger side is a pain to shut and needs a good slam

Cheers Stuart, its now on the to-do list. Any tips on how you stop the doors knocking/creaking on their latches? minor annoyance but would be good to quieten up

I guess those electrons don't weigh very much, it was 1040kg with spare wheel and tool kit

A lot of OEMs run a reservoir, it just helps with the pump continuously cutting in and out. You can run them continuously but the pump life expectancy isn't designed to do that and they do make some noise. I dont have an engine anymore so I dont have any other vacuum source so I have the reservoir and the vac switch, would be interesting to see how much it cuts in and out with the engine vac there as well.

thanks Waldi, any details on the servo as I need to replace mine and an upgrade will be nice, as you can see in the picture I no longer have a clutch master cylinder to get in the way. Cheers Dan

thanks for everyone's help - it was the damper bolts, nice and silent now! Cheers Dan

If its any help - here is my set-up, its a Hella UP28 pump on a Vac switch with a reservoir, works quite well but it shows up how leaky the original servo is Dan

I wont start talking about the drive shafts - they need replacing due to play in the splines, you can hear them very well at 0-5mph, they go quiet after that. As I don't have the gearbox anymore, the original engine would have put more torque through the diff in 1st & 2nd gear, this is now effectively locked in 3rd gear using the overdrive for 4th. Early in the planning phase I decided I didn't want the gearbox as it saps power, adds weight and its another thing to break. So it takes the edge off the performance in the 0-10mph range ever so slightly, but once its rolling and in real w

Thanks Mick, I was able to get 2-3 turns on the bolts on one damper - hopefully this is the issue Good suggestion on the capheads, someone else had also suggested a nyloc on the back using longer bolts

Thanks Derek, I hadn't seen a 1085kg so thats good to know. Tank full to empty makes something like a 35-40kg difference

Thanks Paul, I will take a look.

Its something I had looked into, there is a lot of debate about how safe quiet electric cars are at low speed in pedestrian areas. The car now has a CANbus system which I can pick up motor speed fairly easily, so its possible.

Thanks Mark, I assume that's not with you in the car as well? I've read both 1070kg and 1130kg for a CP
