  1. They’re not doing transport any more, but did recommend someone else.
  2. Hi can anyone recommend a good classic car transport company, to move the TR3A I am buying from Wiltshire to my house in Poynton, Cheshire? To explain why I am not driving it back, it has just passed the MOT test, but we know its tyres are at least 20 years old, probably not to be trusted on the motorway. I am tempted to hire a trailer and tow it. I have towed quite a lot - horse trailers etc, but not cars. cheers paul
  3. Thanks Rob, I’ve gone for one of the these.
  4. Does anyone have a soft cover that they want to sell? Thanks Paul
  5. Hello All, can anyone shed any light on the provenance and history of this car between 1959 and about 1990 please. What is known: Build date 23/1/1959, started life as Silverstone Grey/Red Vynide, delivered to L.F.Dove Ltd. In Wimbledon. First registered 31/12/59 thought to be 493KPA (although this date may be a catch all used by DVSA (sic) database - ie they don’t know exactly but use the last day of the build year). subsequently reregistered in 1984 (reason unknown) as AAX89A. This is what DVLA think the first registered date is. Nowadays Sebring White/blue trim
  6. I am seeking information about TR3As registered and sold by L.F.Dove in Wimbledon from 1959, in relation to identifying the early life of a car I am buying- please see my post in TRs Reunited. thanks Paul
  7. Hello All - I am buying a 1959 TR3A from another member. It currently has the reg AAX89A but I believe it was originally registered 493KPA, and I and researching information to enable me to reassign its original number. What I know so far from various searches and contacts, is that it has build date 23/1/1959 and was delivered new to dealership L.F.Dove of Wimbledon. Wimbledon was in Surrey then (before the formation of the GLC). The reverse KPA series of registration numbers was also issued in Surrey in 1959. Both DVLA and a previous owner agree that it was registered AAX89A in 198

  9. Hi a quick question- did ALL TR3Bs have the same external changes as the TR3A? Specifically, the wide grille? thanks Paul
  10. Hi I am considering buying a LHD TR3B. Can anyone put a ballpark price on conversion from left to RHD? thanks Paul
  11. Hi I have two questions about forum posts in general When you click on a particular forum topic, is there a way of seeing it with the latest posts first, rather than the original post first? It’s a lot of scrolling for some long running topics. Secondly, what are “reputation points”? many thanks Paul
