Oh how things change……. Great stuff Deggers, please keep them coming……

You’re right of course Sue, best fun I have ever had in my TR over all the years has been when rallying hard for the podium….
However, perhaps I should have been more clear, not when your pride and joy is on the back of a transporter.. … The potholes are bad enough nowadays without being bounced over all the kerbs?
-
‘NUY 13K’ Bob…Nice looking car (even if it doesn’t work? And is being battered up and down kerbs!)
Marco from the Netherlands Stuart?….. (would have invited him back for a cup of tea and a driving lesson )

Don’t know if I am just getting old and or my dog just dying has made me so miserable……. However, this was a vehicle that filled me with awe back in the day and now I can only see a ‘tatty monstrosity’!?
Sure I will get over it and best of luck to whoever takes it on (at that price!) but, certainly not for me…..

Brilliant Deggers, the handful that finished appeared to have taken quite some battering ….. Saw the TR just past halfway through but not at the end?

Yep, thanks Deggers. - I did a few rallies co-driving with Neil back in the 1990’s although, not this one; when Neil explained it back then it seemed like another world with everyone breathalysed before starting in the morning, ‘Health and Safety’ seemingly gone mad in Oz but, a great challenge and Neil & co punching well above weight

Happy birthday and all the best Deggers

Re………, there has been an increase in tax evasion (illegal) without sufficient staff of a high enough calibre to counter it, just look at the "white van" & gig industries.
Why look at "white van & gig industries " Duncan? …….. Surely all us taxpayers are paying tax inspectors salaries way in excess of the relative ‘small change’ involved here compared to the multi million + illegal tax invasions of HMRC top boss and his ilk… Not to mention the billions by global corporations!

Hi Peter, sure you are aware of this on the BBC

All the very best John, have a great day!

Whoops a daisy!…… That’s at least a couple of big tins of filler to put ‘right’ again…
-
That’s not ‘filthy’ ………… It has to be the cleanest, shiniest most of us have ever seen!.. ……………& (pun intended Rob H ) better in every way than when it left the factory all those years ago …..
Keep up the great work (on al fronts) Pete …

Thanks all…. This is what is so great with this Forum!
Yep, Hamish and Rich, it was Dave Davis who did such a great job for me a few years ago- Glad to hear that he is doing better! - I’ve passed his details onto my pal who has trouble with his Vitesse pump
-
Good morning all,
Quick question if anyone could kindly help; I’ve forgotten/ mislaid the name and number of the wonderfully knowledgeable Fuel pump fixer and supplier? - Proper Gentleman from up north!

…….. With the ‘anti MGB’ upgrade.. !?

I had a 4 that had been given very similar treatment, back in the 80’s…….Albeit a bit more psychedelic!……… I bought it just to swop the Surrey top across to my signal red 4 but also found that the boot lid was completely rust free, so I bolted that on as well….. It was a cowboy walking into the sunset scene?!……… My pal, who turns out was a bit more of a purist than me, was most put out that I would not let him re spray red

Yup, Stirling Moss….

Double or nothing?…. Whose car was it, driver?

But it won’t keep such good time as a cheap digital watch and it will cost a fortune to get it serviced. I know, I’ve had one for the last 45 years.
Rgds Ian
True Ian…… A bit sad but very true!….
(talking about servicing…… My wife - a natural blonde - hid her gold and stainless model in the slow cooker and then proceeded to make goulash for a bonfire party we had..
Rolex charged over £6000+ for the service/repair.. just about the price of a new one.. However, it was in a real mess… Rolex said they thought they had seen everything, run over by lorries etc but, nothing like this…. One guy said "it’s rusty.. it can’t be rusted "… Nope, that’s actually baked in goulash..!)
Traditional repair of auto electrical parts.

That’s great Dave, everything that we still love about this part of the world (I’m currently in Thailand, travelling to Philippines tomorrow and then home via China) Times are changing though, noted the safety shoes replacing the bare foot flip-flop days of old - time to get out when you get the parking ticket through the door?
Going back way to many years in memory lane mode…Don’t suppose the ‘Jungle Bar’ - out in the wilds from Port Klang - is still open ?…….. Asking for a friend
