Started on the rebuild...will be taking tub off chassis.Think I am going down the dipping route,there is a company in Tamworth area that specialises in this work and also includes epoxy primer to complete.They provide coll/del...just waiting for them to quote...won't be cheap I'm sure.Wondered if fellow members have used this company and opinions for or against on dipping etc..or any other comments or advice would be greatly received.

Thanks everyone for info...Graham you're the man!..just had a good look again at the engine number and yes I can just make out very faintly a 'C' can just see it when I l shone an inspec light on it from a particular angle. so number in fact is CF 11661 UE. and the head 218227 so would you say its got the correct engine in it possibly a later spec to original?

Bought TR6 restoration project...1972 US. Last owner said he had replacement engine put in a few years ago..just want to find out if it is a TR6 engine .The number is... F11661 UE.
