Anyone partake in the annual RSD or should I call it “try and buy records before the profit makers put them on eBay “ day . I managed to get a copy of Motörhead’s St Valentines Day Massacre 10” pic disc , buts that’s it .

Lucky it wasn’t one of Aberdeen Angus’ we have up on the moor . I am very wary of
cows , calf’s and bulls . Nearly been trampled a few times .

I'd have agreed with John as well, only I don't think a Morris Minor is a classic!

This has been inevitable for some time and we're now seeing the first incidents of it actually being used. In future no video content can be considered trustworthy of itself, we'll have to rely on our personal assessments of its provenance and the deemed trustworthiness of whoever passes it to us.
In my view that will strengthen the utility of traditional/mainstream media brands to act as our 'agents' in the veracity of what we want to read/view in future - contrary to today's presumption that "all content is equal" whether we get it from mainstream or social media. However some people will fail to understand that and will be even more wide open to being duped and manipulated via social media.

So ......what you’re saying is that we will never get rid of the Kardashians ???

If you lived where we live you would understand the problem. I am often woken several times during the night by a neighbours Arc/Security light illuminating my bedroom. I have asked them nicely to angle it away from my bedroom window but it is so large and bright the angle seems to make no difference, it is the foxes that cause the problem not intruders.
Could use an air rifle !!
You could choose target ....the light or the foxes . No I’m not serious ....or am I !!

That seems such a shame.
Yes I know what you mean ,but a “worse case scenario” just doesn’t bare thinking about and I would never forgive myself if anything happened .
No doubt a seat could be put in but the size of the seats now are a hell of lot bigger and heavier as to when I used a “dream seat “ with my kids 30 years ago .

I asked the forumites about this issue last year .I was going to put a child seat in the front for my granddaughter for when she was a bit older . General opinion was don’t . Our cars are not designed for little ones ,especially in the front . I suspect your car full of safety stuff , unlike my 6 , but I’m going to wait until she is a bit older .

I like comedies , but really silly ones . The ones your wife hates ...
My latest find has been “Wellington Paranormal “ on Sky . Based in New Zealand .
Spoof x files !The haunted carrier bag was ....well you need to watch .
Also have a look at “What we do in the shadows “
Oh and “ghosts “ on BBC

Gents
I put mine on the highest setting first .....
That created 4 recycling garden bags of moss and dead grass .
I found the best way to collect the moss etc was to use a lawnmower afterwards .

If you’re in the market for a lawn rake/scarifier, you can djj on no wrong with the £70 from Aldi . Not available in store , but in their website with free delivery . Well made piece of kit . 3 year warranty .
Done a great job on my lawn
Made by Einhall I believe .

We have white Peacocks at the bottom of our garden, well over the back fence. They used to walk on the roofs of the houses down there. On one very stormy night we woke up to two very bedraggled ordinary coloured young peacocks in our back garden. Rogers got a picture of them somewhere.
They have just started calling again this year, a very sad lamenting sort of call.
They don’t seem to have a “good press “ . The tail feathers of the male bird are supposed the bring bad luck .
-
You have to watch out for the peacocks . They tend to hide in the most weird places and then scare the **** out of you when you disturb them . My daughter hates the bloody things since she was chased by one many moons ago . .....it was hilarious !!!

Tried sending off a V888 form to try and obtain some past history. In the box asking why I required this information, I wrote, “Researching the history of my historic car, for personal use” It came back saying they cannot release this information as it does not meet the reasonable cause criteria. Guess after hitting that brick wall, the history of GCT 416N will stay hidden for ever now?
Although my 6 was an American car and re imported , I googled the name and address on the old V5 documents . Got a phone number after a bit of not googling , rang left and left a message explaining who I was etc and bingo !!
I got the man who reimported my car , a full history and photos . I then got the details of the next owner in Scotland ...no luck there but struck lucky again with the third owner in Cornwall . I’m the 4 th owner from re import in 95 .So 3 out of 4 !! I tried to trace history in Florida , but hit a “brick wall “

Record Store Day 2021
in Social Scene
Posted
Well….when record shops were disappearing (mainly independents ) there was still an interest in vinyl . Record Store Day was started to boost sales and keep vinyl “alive “so limited editions of singles , LPs were pressed up and sold on RSD . All sorts of artists had records repressed , songs not seen the light of day were released …..it was great for people like me who never stopped buying vinyl . Some interesting stuff has been released . One day a year , the independents had a stock of rare items to tempt customers back into their stores . As the pressings were limited, the fun soon went out of it as stuff started to end up on eBay for some serious money . Big queues outside shops …..It has got worse since vinyl has become the big thing again . Have a look at EBay - RSD 2021 . Covid has resulted in RSD drops . Instead of one day a year , there are two or three . Different items being released On each different “drop “ day .
I usually wait a few weeks for the prices to drop ….Motörhead stuff ..seems to hold its price though ….
Some pictures of last years “drops”
