Mine was missing, all the replacement ones I've seen have the letter B.
Turned a new one from a piece of oak.
-
Stupid question ,what does the letter B stand for on the vent pull lever knob.?
-
On the bright side, at least you can see where you have been.
On a serious note, I have the same box and switch positions, happy to remove switch and take pics of rod positions.

All sorted, many thanks. Mark

I’m sure someone could offer a template to fabricate a diy pair.

Already got the feelers out on this one, my Vent operating rod is straight. I’m needing the angle and dimension how far down the rod the bend starts.
many thanks Mark.

Hi Andy,
Did you tighten up the two rivets on the front rail, I'm confident in thinking these should be loose.

Interestingly there was a switch plinth recently on eBay which had a light strip Recessed into the top section lighting the main switch area.
Looked professionally Manufactured. Thought at the time what a very good idea.

I encountered problems when fitting a new release cable, when the cable was used to release nothing was happening at the catch end and the cable would only go back if pushed.
It took me a while but finally figured out what was happening, the cable sleeve was sliding into the pull handle base when pulling cable.
Since fitted a new one which works perfect and fitted a emergency release as well.
Just need to fit the bonnet.

Can't say I've ever seen a red lettered one, had mine rechromed and painted the letters black.

Hi Richard
Thought I’d add my bit as I’m doing the same.
As Bruce says original spoke finish is some kind of satin semi-chrome finish, maybe anodised in some way but I would have thought not easy to do unless you are going to remove the rubber grip altogether as Ed did.
I went down the simple route and rubbed down the spokes and sprayed them in silver as Derek did. Now the finish is down to the individual and a satin silver would be more original but I’ve gone high gloss so I lacquered them as well. Which although its not obvious in the after pic looks pretty nice in the flesh.
But I’m going to improve it further by getting the grip professionally wrapped in leather. This will give a nicer finish and thicken the rim slightly.
I've had a quote off Royal steering wheels who mainly do medern prestige stuff (others do it as well) but it’s not cheap but hopefully the finish would be spot on.
Cheers Keith
Keith, have you tried Aldridge trimmers in Wolverhampton.
Mark. Sprayed mine with zinc weld thru primer. I liked the texture of the paint when it dried.

Mark,
The original ones had a circlip and pin, this type are reconditionable - crimped ones are not so are worthless once they fail. The type without the pin are a real pain to bleed as you have to continually 'vigorously' tap them to get the air out. I had a complete set from Prestige that fell apart internally in quick order, so Malcom replaced them with the pin type that I originally sent him.
I would suggest if you have been the supplied non-pin type for the pin type you should insist the supplier to replaces link-for-like. Equally, if you send circlipped pin type (reconditionable) you should receive the same back - make it clear what you expect back.
Cheers, Andrew
Hi Andrew,
This is a photo of my spare injector, hopefully it's a recondition able type. All 7 are identical.

I always thought they were the same internals, I had a mixed bunch.
Sent them off for refurb all came back with no points, assumed they had been ground off.

Not sure on the manufacturing process of these pads, but that looks like it’s been over heated . The one I fitted from tr shop was perfect needed a little trimming.
