Hi Andy,
like you I have updated Armstrongs and standard road springs from Moss, I’m really happy with the ride but in my opinion the car sits a little high for my liking.

Trying to contact the office regards discounted tickets for the above show, haven’t been able to log on and wondered what discount the club acquired.

What do you mean this section ?
This was made by a TR forum member in the correct manner using full scale steel presstools (he worked at a toolmakers, and used the press also). The dimensions and crispness of these panels is excellent and as you can see from the fit here is identical to the factory fit, he approached many of the TR suppliers but none were prepared to order panels for their stocks (they gave the reason they wanted a complete assembly which would include the "toe board" in front of the pressed panel) ...load of BS. That wouldn't make the panel more attractive except of course they would be charging a increased price for the part section inclusive.
He sold a bunch of these panels to TR owners including myself, I'm a Toolroom engineer by trade and the crispness and fit of these panels exactly reproduces the OEM panels from Stanpart. If you can find one... buy it.

Wow it’s been a long time since I saw my six like this, and yes these panels produce by Steve were a masterpiece. FYI Steve has now sold the presses onto heritage, not sure if they are in production yet. After pic below.

What a great turn out, sorry couldn’t be there this year ( injured my knee). Tickets booked early as well, hopefully see you all next year.

I connected extra earth wires to the bolt that straps the battery cable to the body, I did this under the passenger footwell.
You could run cables and follow the main loom through the bulkhead.

Looking at the survivors list it’s actually a TR2 not a 3 as he thought , black in colour and from 1956 19th March.

Enquiring the whereabouts of said TR2 reg KBD4 for a friend, his Father owned this car from new . Apparently this car was used for the London and Paris car shows and was in his ownership whilst at the Paris show. Currently showing on sorn. Any info would be gratefully received.

On the last couple of outings I have noticed the ammeter reading positive and negative intermittently. Today it’s in the negative section and is like a jack in the box when a electrical current is drawn. Battery reading when ticking over was 12.2 and off 12.5, cleaned alt connections still the same readings . Possible alternator failure?
thanks Mark

Also can’t recommend ACF Howells enough ,fantastic service and quality work. My bumper was damaged in several places ,repaired and plated to perfection.

Apparently Novac as been offered a place on the English cricket team , due to the fact it took Australia two weeks to get him out .

ACF Howells we’re experimenting with Mazak early on in the year, went to pick up my front bumper up and had a nice chat with one of the employees. Might be worth a call.

I used dinatrol aerosols ml cavity wax, excellent stuff. The 6 can pack came with a 600 mm Lance with 360 degree spray head, tested this in a large plastic bottle and got full coverage.

Thats the ones from the Technicalities CD which in my opinion are the best and strongest, all the dimensions are on there so easy enough to get an engineering company to make up for you
Stuart.
Only cost me £20 at a local fab shop, I’m a little over 6ft and these work great .

I have now completed replacing all 6 UJ’s and pleased to say a complete success. As for what I pulled out they were brand new although several years old and obviously not fit for purpose.
