Sadly, the first event of the season was a rather damp affair. Jim Johnstone, Shaun Roache and Kev Bryant braved the downpours (and there were many) only to have the MSA Marshals abandon the event midway through second practice.

Jim managed 128", Shaun 148" and Kev 141". It was a true baptism of water for Shaun on his first sprint and he could have been much faster had he not spent his first 10" with his wheels spinning on the line.
