40 TR Register members entered the Championship this year, an increase of 8 on 2016, with the track days and the new Facebook Group acting as a catalyst for this. There were 7 entrants in Class 1, 18 in Class 2 and 15 in Class 3, with some entrants using cars from more than one class during the year. There were seven non-TRs being driven.
36 members competed at events, an increase of 8 on last year.
The average turn out at events was 7.0 competitors compared to 6.1 last year.
The average number of events per competitor was 4.4, lower than last year, with the highest being 11 by Bob Barnard, followed by Alan Yeo, Tom Purves and Chris Roberts on 10.
Twelve competitors scored the maximum points at an event, with Martin Paine scoring five maximums. Sixteen competitors did the required 5 events to count for the Championship, one less than last year.
The best supported event by far was the Prescott Autumn Classic Hillclimb with 21 Championship competitors, followed by the RSSOC Curborough Sprint and Gurston Down Hillclimb with 12.
Epynt Hillclimb was the only event that did not have any Championship representation which is very disappointing to the Championship and the event organisers.
The Championship held Test Days at Castle Combe and Blyton Park that proved very successful, with a good turn out of TR Register members in many varieties of Triumph. Thanks go to Kev Bryant for organising these so well.
We are actively seeking new entries for the 2018 season, if your interested in joining the fun you can download all the forms, regulations and information you need here: https://www.tr-register.co.uk/motorsport-downloads

Cracking picture of Tom in action, but what is Bob doing?
An excellent growth of competitor numbers, and a pleasure to see the additional Triumphs joining the TRs, verywell done to all concerned - entrants, drivers and organisers alike. Let's hope 2018 is just as good, or even better !
