Kennet Valley TR Group support Basingstoke Festival of Transport

After an early start to claim our spot and raise the flag, 7 KVG cars arrived for Basingstoke Festival on 14th May. Although some rain was forecast, and there had been quite a downpour overnight, it remained partly sunny and partly cloudy alternately all day, only seeing a bit of rain on the way home, late afternoon.

A great day out, with plenty of visitors to the show, an array of jumble, tools and accessories stalls to browse, and probably near 1k vehicles on site to explore, including some lovely old buses, a beautifully restored Routemaster, period coaches and large trucks, abound.

This year there was a car manoeuvring arena for all to try, run by a local learner driving school, as well as live music to enjoy.
