AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY RUN SUNDAY 27th AUGUST 2017
Trough of Bowland Second Time Around
The first time the Group had done this run was the Autumn Leaves Run in October 2015, heck is it nearly 2 years ago?
At the time John & Jean Hussay couldn't make it, and John has said on numerous occasions since that he wanted to do it.
So a few weeks ago an e mail popped up from John saying he and Jean were going to do the run on the Sunday of the August Bank Holiday weekend, anybody want to join in?
From what was initially a start of 9 people in 5 cars, at the meet up in the main car park in Skipton turned out to be 13 people in 8 cars, a great turn out. The runners and riders in no particular order were
John & Jean Hussay
Ian & Linda Meeson
John & Helene Dennison
Peter & Irene Graham
Ken & Janet Bailey
Gerry Le Vey
John Collinson
Martin Brown
Martin Brown being welcomed as a new member.
Ready for the off in Skipton
After waking up the Starbucks staff in the coffee shop adjacent to the car park we all downed a brew with the odd croissant or two, and headed out around 10.15.
The route followed exactly as the 2015 run, but with a coffee stop at the Greenfoot Garden Centre in Wray, certain members were seen to be making purchases other than food and drink.
John had then arranged lunch at the Parkers Arms in Newton in Bowland.
The weather was great all day, for those of us on the run for the second it was just as good as the first, great driving roads and fantastic scenery.
Arrival at the Greenfoot Garden Centre in Wray
John Dennison tells John Hussay about his latest fishing trip, "I kid you not John, it was this big"
Hmm, Jean Hussay, Linda Meeson, Janet Bailey & John Collinson spotted in the vegetation.

Great idea John & Jean for a return visit. Thanks.
