The meeting at The Old Silent Inn was well attended.

As usual the food was good and the chatter and natter was lively.

On May the 28th Jean and myself were to travel south to Dover. Then on the 29th meet up with Gerry and Mary Le-Vey for the crossing over the Chanel to France and on to the Circuit Historique de Laon. Unfortunately Gerry's back complaint prevented him from driving and so he had to cancel his trip.

He is still poorly. We wish him well.

Jean and I did go on to Laon and had a very enjoyable weekend. Barrie and Pat Simkin also went over. We met Barrie in the square on Sunday.

We have three new members in our area and one of them came to the meeting. John Roberts hails from Otley Although John did not own a TR then, he has since bought a TR6. We look forward to him bringing it to Castle Howard.

Castle Howard is of course on 3rd 4th and 5th of July.

We have got TS2 or we will have it by the end of this month. We are going down to Didcot to pick it up

on the 30th

The format for Castle Howard is as previous years. We discussed the format at the GM and voted to keep it as it is for this year.

So meeting Friday eve at the Lakeside Camp Site for registration a natter and a free drink.

Saturday convoy will leave at 10.00am. This will terminate at a Steam Fair, we have arranged free parking and entry.

Saturday eve back at the camp site for a BBQ and some entertainment.

Sunday lunch short drive up to the house to display the cars in front of the house and present the awards.

Mr Simon Howard will NOT be giving his usual speech this year but I am sure we will find someone to stand in for him.

Sunday afternoon free to explore the grounds.

On Saturday eve we will be holding the now famous Wharfedale raffle. All good fun.

We need prizes for the raffle and all contributions will be gratefully accepted.

We will now meet at the old favourite Calverley Arms Pudsey LS28 5QQ.

Usual 7.30 for 8.00. Please let me know if you wish to join us then I can inform the restaurant.
