Red Rose Bulletin - October 2017
It is with great sadness that we have learned that Roger Dyson has recently passed away following a brave battle with cancer and we would like to pass on our condolences on behalf of the group to Gill and his family.
Roger and Gill have been active members of the group for many years and were instrumental in bringing the group to the Antrobus venue. Roger will be remembered with great affection, always happy and enthusiastic, a true gentleman who will be sadly missed.
Details of the funeral are available on the Red Rose group Facebook page. In lieu of flowers the family have requested donations to Tuberous Sclerosis Charity (TSA) or St Lukes' Hospice.
October Bulletin
Well, summer has been and gone and yet again it wasn't quite the barbecue summer we had hoped for but that didn't stop Red Rose members from getting out in their TR's.
Cholmondeley Castle was one of the last car shows of the season with a good turnout of TR's from across the groups.
Our September meeting at the Antrobus Arms was very exciting as it saw the launch of the first ever Red Rose calendar featuring the winners of February's photographic competition and a post meeting run with a difference! Those who were brave enough to enter "The Antrobus Triangle" were given a map, a set of instructions and postcodes to find their way to a number of destinations whilst answering a series of questions before returning to the Antrobus Arms for prize giving. We are hoping to do another run like this early next spring. You have been warned!
If you would like to see one of your photos gracing the pages of our next calendar then it's not too late to take that perfect picture of your TR and have it ready for the photograph competition in the New Year.
Red Rose calendars are now on sale at the monthly meetings for the bargain price of just £5 per calendar or 2 for £9 and 3 for £12! So get yours before they all get snapped up! They make the perfect Christmas present!

September 14th-15th was the Classic Car Show at Event City, Manchester. Thank you to Andrew Haywood for organising the cars and for their owners for bringing them along for the three days.
Red Rose members were at this year's Spa Six hour Classic between 15th and 18th of September and based on Face book pictures everyone appeared to have a great time.
Nearer home Red Rose TR racers Hamish Roscoe and David Bailey will be in action taking part in the TR Register / Revington sprint / hill climb Championship and Classic Sports Car Club Swinging Sixties race series in October. For anyone interested the Classic Sports Car Club Swinging Sixties race series will be at Outlton Park on the 7th October with a line up of cars from 1960's, 70's and 80's including a number of TR's. Christmas is not far away and Sandra Baran is taking bookings for Red Rose Christmas party at the Bridge Inn, Prestbury on Saturday 16th December.
Cost is anticipated to be no more than £40 per head and if you are interested in attending please send a non refundable deposit of £10 per head to Sandra Baran, 6 Chesham Road, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 6HA. Cheques should be made out to Sandra Baran and last date for booking is 29th October.

Despite the year drawing to a close there are still events to look forward to so come along to one of the meetings and join us for some lunch and run out before it's time to put the cars away for the winter.
