RED ROSE APRIL BULLETIN

Hello again. Spring is definitely on its way with the weather being kind for both the Norton Priory run and the Bentley Motors Tour.

The March meeting was well attended with some new faces. The Norton Priory run, first of the monthly Antrobus runs, was a great success with over 30 members enjoying a guided tour of the Priory and grounds. Thank you to John and Ann Thorp for organising the event.

The Bentley Motors Tour on 24^th March was enjoyed by all those who attended and provided an insight into the workings of one of Britain's greatest car manufacturers .

April and May are going to be busy at Red Rose with events on almost every weekend.

2^nd April Lakeland Motor Museum Run

April kicks off with the first large run of the year to the Lakeland Motor Museum Drive In Day on the 2^nd April. Cars will be meeting at Charnock Richard services on the north bound side of the M6 at 10am . For those who live north of the starting point there will be a second meeting point at the Crofters Inn in Garstang ( PR3 1PH) departing approx 10:45am. 9^th April – Antrobus meeting and run to Blakemere Craft Centre

April's Antrobus meeting is on the 9th starting at the usual time of 12:30pm with a post meeting run to Blakemere Craft Centre. All members are welcome to join us at the meeting or at 2pm for the run.

23^rd April – Drive It Day run to British Iron Works Oswestry

Our second large run of the year is the 'Drive It day with Run' to The British Iron Works Centre Oswestry on the 23^rd April. Event details will be issued later this month.

Tatton Park Shows 3^rd/4^th June and 19^th / 20^th of August , Oulton Park Gold Cup 26^th to 28^th August

Red Rose Group will be attending Tatton classic car shows in June and October together with Oulton Park gold cup in August. Both events are free to enter and provide a saving in excess of £50 if you were to attend both events. Pre-booking is essential and details will be issued on the Facebook page at the beginning of April and also on the TR Register web site later in the month.

Red Rose Facebook Group

Thank you to those who have joined the Red Rose Facebook group over the last few months. We will be announcing event details and updates through the year on the Facebook page and TR Register members are encouraged to join and share details of their cars and events.

There will be a randomly selected prize later this year for all new Facebook members who have joined from January 2017. So why not join? You could be a winner!

The Red Rose Weekend

Finally a reminder about The Red Rose Weekend, there are still a few rooms available and information on the event can be found on the Red Rose page of The TR Register website, alternatively you can contact Carole Biddulph for more details at carole.biddulph@sky.com

Registration details are now available for those who would like to attend the Saturday / Sunday runs or the evening meal but won't be staying at the hotel, email carole.biddulph@sky.com for more details.

There's a lot to look forward to this year at Red Rose and if you are thinking of attending any of the meetings, monthly runs or events we can promise you a warm welcome.
