Kennet Valley TR Group enjoy their Xmas New Year Bash!

Kennet Valley TR Group along with friends from Vale or the White Horse TR Group and friends and families enjoyed their annual Xmas/New Year Bash at Wroxton House Hotel. Many members arrived on the Friday to make a long weekend of it and enjoy visits to the local Butterfly Farm, Horse sanctuary and some visited the now infamous Pathe News reels at Banbury museum (this event was last year and inadvertently suggested by GL Phil Horsley - Oops!). To help the Christmas spirit, Mother Nature lent a hand by providing snow on both the Saturday and then again on the Sunday morning for the depart. The Wroxton House laid on a superb Xmas dinner with wine and then the local DJ Alan, playing music into the small hours or the era of most of the members and to a suitable sound level.Other members enjoyed a 'tete a tete' in the lounge area, passing time discussing everything from Knitting to oil technology.Again a super event well organised by Karen Woolnough who is hanging up her boots after this one to let others get involved to arrange next years.
