Kennet Valley TR Group - AGM 2016
Kennet Valley TR Group held their 2016 AGM, Phil Horsley gave a Group Leaders report on all the past years activities, events and awards. He also thanked the Membership and Committee for their support throughout the year. David Westwood - Treasurer updated the members on the finances which are in a healthy position allowing the club to be active and cover costs, surplus will be used in the benefit of members by sponsoring some events, buying equipment for the club and for something special in four years time and the KVG's 50th Anniversary.
The committee was re-elected on bloc with one change that Eddie Mace has stepped down as Deputy Group Leader, so we have a vacancy if you're interested?
There were two awards on the night, the prestigious and sought after 'Nut of the Year Award' there were three nominations, but this was won this year by Bill Bourne (for the third time) by majority vote, I shall not say why to spare his embarrassment however he did have a red face.

The other award was the 'Bright Spark Award', this is awarded annually for either a bright idea for our cars or something that keep the wheels of the club going for everyone, this year Phil Horsley won for his hard work for the club, keeping the website up to date, arranging events and getting back into his GL role after serious illness. Phil was very touched by the award and thanked everyone for the recognition and just to see people enjoying their cars and being with their friends in the KVG.
