A reminder that Tuesday evening is “Classic at the Chandos” in Oakley. See attached flyer.
Also, next weekend is the event at Fawley Hill. We will be there on the Sunday. Still time to book tickets online, or you could pay at the gate, I believe.
We will be joining members from the Ridgeway and Kennet Valley TR groups.
I have attached instructions from the organisers giving advice on the best way to approach the site (A4155 Henley – Marlow Road) avoiding the village and what to do when you arrive.
Sunday 19th May – Fawley Hill Steam & Vintage Transport Festival – This will also be Chiltern Group Mid-Monthly outing
This weekend long festival takes place at Fawley Hill, Fawley, near Henley-on-Thames, RG9 6JA, where we will be attending on the Sunday, to coincide with the visit of Charles, Tom, Steve & Des, who will be on their annual vintage tractor run that day to raise funds for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. This will therefore also be our mid monthly outing for May.
The event opens at 10.00am and to register and book your car in, please visit the “Exhibitors” section of the website at www.fawleyhill.co.uk/vintage-transport-festival, where the entry fee is only £5.00 per car. This Fawley Hill event is also a charity fund raiser on behalf of the Thames Valley Air Ambulance and MacMillan Cancer Support.
It would be good to bring a picnic, or if you prefer, I hear that the vintage tractor guys are putting on a lunchtime BBQ to raise funds for the Air Ambulance.
