guzzitrike
Have just put the car up on axel stands to start work on the stub axels, and have discovered a pipe hanging down underneath the car!! It seems to start at the offside rear wheel arch disappearing in towards the fuel tank and then runs along the offside of the car before disappearing the other side of the front wheel towards the bulkhead. Is this the fuel pipe from the tank to the petrol pump?, If so shouldn't it be tucked away somewhere else? If not what is it? What are the implications for the MOT which is due in April? Beans
What is offside, left or right If it is in the righthand rear wheelarch ... and from there running down along the RH sill (tucked away behind the sill lip) ... and crossing over to the RH front chassis leg just before the RH footwell ... and emerging into the engine bay through the rear of the RH inner front wing ... it indeed is the fuel pipe, shouldn't be a problem Edited February 19, 2007 by Beans
guzzitrike
Yep that's exactly it!! Thought so, just needed reassuring. Now all I need to do it attach it properly so that it is not hanging down where it can catch hold of anything on our excellently surfaced roads. Bryan
