I would say you can still buy a TR7 fhc for a grand but might not be in excellant condition and again a TR7 dhc but again would not be perfect.

 

Figure are you looking at for a TR7 V8, if you are lucky for say £2500 but will most likely need work / you will need to travel.

 

I have a solid 1981 White TR7 dhc but requires some tlc on the paint side if of any use with MOT.

Alec is right about Ebay - If you look at completed listings it gives a good idea about what are realistic 'bottom book' auction bid prices and what you get for the money. A lot don't make their reserve and reappear - there were a couple that were relisted 4 or 5 times until they sold at a lot less than the original reserve
