Guest Tarjem
Help needed to solve the problem of the drivers side headlights intermittently opening and closing whilst the headlights are being activated. This only happens when the vehicle is being driven. Passenger side headlight functions normally
Cinnobar
Possibly a dirty connection which is being vibrated when driven. DOes it just go straight down or does it cycle? Otherwise could be a dodgy limit switch inside the lift motor. Various bits on the web on diagnosing faults here. You maybe slightly out of adjustment. Jim

Jim Have checked all the connections my next option is to remove the headlight unit from the car and replace with a second hand unit. any additional suggestions would be welcome. scotty
Check the switch in the dash -- mine had a habit of going up and down on thier own due to a faulty connection on the back of the switch
Cinnobar
Thats a new one to add to the list, not heard of that one before, normally light switches either don't work or catch fire...... Jim
anthonyt
I had this problems some time ago with my 8, tried all the obvious things including checking the switch, in the end replacing the relay did the trick.
