Trevor S
Hi Mike, The TR4 hood frame was secured to the B post by a triangular mounting plate which sits on top of the trim. There should be two holes with captive nuts in the top of each B post, one above the other, into which a screw with a counter sunk head fits. These screws when fitted need to be flush with the plate. The threaded hole in the triangular plate sits towards the front of the car as compared to the two counter sunk holes in the plate. A slotted mushroom headed screw goes through the hole in the base of the hood frame arm into the threaded hole in the triangular plate with a washer between the plate and the arm. Sometimes the hood frames are sold on with the triangular plate still attached and sometimes they have been removed. I don't know therefore if you are in possesion of the two triangular mounting plates required.
