H TR4 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Share Posted January 5, 2009 Hi here are some dates for Nescro Rally events are really good events with plenty of tests, a few regularities Croft Historic Rally (W) Stockton Motor Club 1st February 2009 Once again this highly thought of event will be based on the famous North Eastern circuit with its smooth tarmac and challenging layout. However, this year there will be several tests at two new country park venues also utilising tarmac surfaced roads. Linking these all forward tests will be three short regularities with simple navigation to get the navigator involved. Starting at 9.00am at Darlington Football Ground with the finish at approximately 4.00pm at the same place the £110 entry fee includes lunch and a carvery finisher’s meal. The event is limited to 50 entrants and full details can be obtained from Mike Smailes, 01642 553357, mikesmailes@btinternet.com or www.crofthistoricrally.co.uk or Martin Peacock 01642 553291 01/03/2009: Saltire Classic Rally (W) Saltire Classic Rally (W) Saltire Rally Club Ltd 1st March 2009 Historic Road Rally based in Kenmore, Perthshire. 70 Mile Road route on pre plot navigation. The Road section includes 3 regularities and 20 Tests on a variety of surfaces. Entry fee £90 which includes lunch and evening meal. Lunch Halt at the world famous Edradour Distillery. With a new route and many new test venues for 09 this is an old favourite with a twist. Accommodation packages available Contact Colin Wallace 07831215009 or saltireclassicrally@btopenworld.com www.saltireclassicrally.co.uk 19/04/2009: Ilkley Jubilee Rally and Run (S) Ilkley Jubilee Rally and Run (S) Ilkley & DMC 19th April 2009 This is a regularity and test event of 145 mile route in and around the scenic Yorkshire Dales. Starting from Skipton the morning section takes in the lanes of western Dales and a test or two before returning to Skipton for the lunch halt and tests. In the afternoon the route heads east visiting three test sites and some roads not used on the event since the 90's. Navigation on the Rally will be a mixture of a Tulip Road book and some plot and bash navigation, while the Run has the complete route contained in a Tulip Road book. The Rally is a National B event while the Run is a Closed to Club event. Navigation from previous events and more details are available on the website www.jubilee-rally.org Contact Henry Carr 01274 586461 Berwick Classic Berwick & District MC Ltd 2nd/3rd May 2009 Starting in Berwick in Northumberland the Berwick Classic will offer both a two day event starting at 15.00hrs on Saturday and a one day event on Sunday. Leg 1 of the event will feature some brilliant tests in Northumberland and two regularities. Leg 2 will start also start in Berwick and visit some excellent tests in Berwickshire before heading north into East Lothian for a mixture of new tests and old favorites. The emphasis is on a relaxed, sociable weekend with lots of good food and some very competitive special tests thrown in why not try it?
