jim73vtr
Hi everyone. I've just bought a 1982 TR 7 2.0 8v FHC. I would like some advice on what type of fuel to use. Can i run on standard unlead with a fuel additive, if so, what type of additive? Would i be better to change or alter the cylinder head to take unleaded? If i make any of these changes to i need to adjust the timing or carbs to suit...? Any helpfully hints gratefully accepted. Cheers.
Toss A Triumph
It'll run perfectly well on unleaded 95 premium, and a touch better on 97/98 super. Tweak the timing if necessary for best result, shouldn't need any more than that. That simple.
Guest Wayne S
The heads on TR7s were designed from the outset to run on unleaded as they were always intended to be sold to the american market first and foremost so you will have no problems.
