tr6driver
Hi. I have an overhauled cylinder head on my TR6 with new valve springs, but I have some tapping / ticking noise from what I think it is from the rocker gear. I have adjusted the valves , but I am not able to get rid of the noise,is it an easy cure for this , or do I have to change out the rocker gear? Oystein

Oystein Are you sure you’ve adjusted the tappets correctly? Was the noise there before the head overhaul? Something may have gone wrong with the head re-assembly, it could be on the rocker gear or even the valve/spring assemblies; are the collets/collars fitted correctly! did you fit the correct springs! I would be inclined to remove the head & investigate thoroughly before something more serious happens.
