  1. Hi All, I’m trying to figure out what the problem is regarding the heater cable on my CR series TR6. The cable that is fitted is, as far as I can tell, the original one and has not been cut or shortened, but doesn’t seem long enough to operate the heater valve. The heater valve itself has been changed (I assume it’s the right one!?). The routing looks ok as far as I can tell too. Attached is a photo with the heater knob fully pushed in towards the dashboard. Any suggestions as to the cause would be much appreciated. Many thanks, Richard
  2. Hi Can anyone help me understand the water flow around the 4 pot (3a with a heater) I found this video that helps interested in the flow temp and rate ( hot /fast ie nothing technical) to the heater from the back of the block, tap fully open. Through the heater (temp drop fan on fan off?) and returning via stainless pipe to the water pump (bypass part?) is the water pushed out of the head or sucked from the pump ? the heater seems to produce warm air on to left knee when the blower is on. ( but only recently learnt that the air intake flap doesn’t feed t

I remember an article in the Mag about a heater modification that took the feed for the heater matrix from the water pump housing. I noticed that my TR6 CR has a blanked take off already. I presume that a TR 250 housing which would have the take off for the heated carb manifold , has been fitted in the past. My question is,- If I took the feed from the this blanked off outlet to the control valve would the water temperature be higher than the current set up that feeds the control valve via the extension adapter from the cylinder head.? My heater is a Clayton uprated one but I am still
  4. Could someone tell me how the scuttle panel air vent is supposed to work or be hooked up on my TR5? At the moment the spring clips are there and the panel can be opened and closed by hand but the Moss TR5/6 catalogue (p200 items 41~45) show a "vent lid operating rod" which is not present on my car. Despite scouring all the manuals I have (Bentley/Haynes/Heritage), I can't find reference to this or where it is hooked up. Should this air vent be controlled from somewhere in the cabin? Where does the other end of that rod attach to? TIA Colin
