Hi all, Just thought I'd share my experience with a Hayg equivalent to a Bosch fuel pump. In a word, don't! I bought a Hayg 0 580 254 984 (same specs as -909 but with a check valve on the HP side). Same part number as Bosch, and indeed their website says "We sell OEM Spec. Bosch Equivalent Fuel Pumps for an Affordable Price". I paid AUD 115 / USD 90 / GBP 65 for it. No problem with what's supplied - electrical connectors, nuts & lock washers (well, OK, one nut was the wrong size...), rubber boots, fibre washers. Problem was fuel pressure. I have my PRV set to 100psi using the pre
I have had intermittent fuel pump noise for the last 3 years since a new pump and filter was fitted, the usual system fitted at the base of the fuel tank. For reasons unknown sometimes its noisy as hell, sometimes silent. I have read the various posts on here as far as I can, but its not that easy to search, despite what some people say! In summary, I think the advice is that the peculiar set up of each set can produce resonance in some circumstances, and the way to stop it is to change the set up slightly? I have the black rubber hoses already, so I wondered about putting a permanent pre
Hi, Having some issues with a 3A since the fuel pump gave out last week. I have since sourced a new pump and began work on removing it which as all forums that I had read, took too long with the awkward angle of the right nut! Something I had noticed upon first inspection, but did not realise the significance of until I had dismantled as much of the pump as possible, the rocker arm fulcrum pin has come loose and is to one side and no longer can be pushed back in (or pulled out from the angle). With the pin out to the side, this is now also being caught on the top of (what I think is
Hi all, Any of you EFI guys recognise this fuel pump - see pics. This is part of the Webcon Pro5 EFI setup. This pump is starting to become noisy and I want to replace it. However existing pump has no identifiers on it - no brand, model ref, serial number or pressure rating. Webcon pumps although similar in size would require mods to the fuel delivery piping and electrical connections. A direct replacement would be nice! Many thanks, TonyC
